FoodSaver 00-1700-01 Review: FoodSaver Vac 1050 Vacuum-Sealing Kit, White. I just bought the 1050 model. The 300 model does not offer the hole for using the jar sealer(s). The 550 model does, but the 1050 model improves on the 550 by offering automatic operation (you press once and release as opposed to having to hold it down). Not having used one of these before, I appreciate not having to figure out how long or how hard I should press.
